Tried a Streamer in size 10 this evening at Bethany Lakes.  More Bluegill and little Bass.  Still was not bad for a short 30" trip.... Today's Pictures

Fished Bethany Lakes this morning.  Caught a number of small fish with a few larger Sunfish.  Did get several Bruisers chasing my fishing fly but no takers as of yet. Today's Pictures

Went back to Bethany and tried a Red and White Clouser (Size 4) this evening and hooked a ~12" Bass.  Not a Bruiser but bigger than the little Bass we have been catching on the Leech Streamer. Today's Picture

Been out of pocket the past few days, playing on the Coast.  Posted a few reports on the Weblog while we fished Bob Hall Pier and Padre Island.  No Bruisers but had a lot of fun!  Added links to the posts below for reference. Did fish Bethany Lakes yesterday.  Caught mainly Sunfish and a Bluegill.  Yesterday's Pictures.

Stopped by the feeder creek that runs into Bethany Lakes this morning.  Tied on a Bead Head Leech Streamer and soon after landed a little Bass.  Then, lost a bigger Bass, then caught some Bluegill and Sunfish.  Surprised the shallow water held so many fish.... Today's Pictures

Fished Kroger Park this evening and caught two Bass and a Turtle on a Black Bead Head Leech Streamer. No Bruisers but one was enough to take the lead in August's One Fishing Fly Challenge!

Thanks BigBuckeye!  Did go back again today to try out a homemade doughbait.  Caught more Catfish and lost a Bruiser that broke the line.  Not a bad outing; really like the Circle Hooks I picked up while on the coast.  Getting a lot more hook-ups and no deep-hooked fish! Today's Pictures

Went back to Bethany again with another variation of the Homemade Doughbait to test.  Caught more Catfish with the largest going 17" in size. While unhooking the 17" Catfish, looked up and saw a four foot Water Snake had worked its way out of the water and was about 2 feet away from me eyeing the Catfish. Today's Pictures

Stopped by Brockdale Park at Lake Lavon to checkout the action on the Point.  Water level was low with minimal activity observed. Moved on to the East Pond at Celebration Park; caught several 16" Catfish, else it was small Bullheads. Sampling of Today's Catch.

FYI: Been having good luck with bread and doughbaits at Bethany Lakes.  Also, been trying out doughbaits at Celebration Park.  Did not have much time to fish Friday evening but did catch several with the largest going about 15" in size! Today's Pictures
