Scott maybe youi can add two more links in "picture' form

Wylie hourly weather report:
http://wwwa.accuweather.com/forecast-hourly.asp?partner=accuweather&zipcode=75098&metric=0&hbhday=1&hbhhour=6

Lake level graph for Lavon:
http://ahps.srh.noaa.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=fwd&gage=lvnt2&view=1,1,1,1,1,1

this would be a good sticky to get the daily weather and such.

i drove over the lake today.  They are DEFINATELY releasing water now...

There is a muddy river between Lavon and Hubbard, anyone ready to go catfishing - on Hubbard. Cheesy

I bet it will rise 2 to 3 ft from this one.  This is some major rain.  Its show about 3-4" of rain already fallen just above the lake.  Last time Lavon had this much rain in its watershed it rose around 4-5 ft I think....

This is gonna be fun,.. I'm gonna go wood stompin!!! If you go..Watch for slimy critters.. They will have nowhere to go other than trees if they let the water out like they did at the end of 1999

i said earlier that they were relaeasing water, but I haven't seen anything else.  I had never seen so much water moving through from rain, but maybe that is all it was (unless they tested the gates or something).  There was over a foot running over, but nothing much lately.

Can't believe we are going from 18 foot low to being forced to release water when they predicted a dry Spring - i still want to be a meteorologist when i grow up  Cheesy

we lost power at work here in plano for 3 hours.  I hear a Discount Tire roof caught the brunt of the storm.

Drove to East Fork ramp close to the new pay gate.  I could see the yellow line on the ramp clearly to about 18-24 inches deep.
Then  drove to the fishing area behind the dam.  No water was being released at 5:00 p.m.  Drove north on Hwy 78, there was a pretty fair flow of someone's chocolate milk coming over the little wier under the RR track.  Apparently this is run-off from the off-road vehicle area between the dam and the highway.
That was at 5:00 p.m. today...as always that could have already changed.

nice report Yakfly.   I was wondering what that weir thing was about, I pass by it almost daily.  It has had water trickling over the weir for about a week now.
