Fall Bite Report  (Read 3215 times)

Hey Everyone,

Went out yesterday from 7am - 1 o'clock. Morning was very very slow with only 1 fish in about 1' of water. I was about to head home around 11am but decided pulled off on a good looking main lake flat and sure glad I did. For about 1.5hrs the bite just went off. I hammered 20 largemouth and lost 3. They had the feed bag on big time! Was catching them all in 2 - 6' of water on crankbait and spinnerbait. Nothing really big, a lot of dinks but best 5 probably went for 11 - 12lbs. Still a lot of fun.

Being as it's fall, I've continued to check the creeks and the shad activity is there but the largemouth don't seem to follow. Is it just me, or do a majority of the largemouth stay on the main lake rather than follow bait up the creeks as per 'textbook' fall pattern ?
