Want to take a couple young boys out but I don't know where we should go.  Do NOT have a boat.  Don't care what we catch and we won't keep any.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest going to Bethany Lakes park in Allen.  It's easy to get to and there are lots of sunfish, bass, and channel cats in the 5 ponds there.  Good luck.

Went there once and caught 1 fish that was about 4 inches long.   I am absolutely willing to give it another shot though.  Thank you

Bethany sounds a good choice.  Use light rigs with  8# to 10# line, small clip-on bobber, enough split shot to sink it half way and # 6 or #8 cricket hook.  Clip shots 4 inches above hook, set depth to 3 feet and use 1/4 inch pieces of Walmart canadian night crawlers wormed on the hook with point and barb showing.  We use this setup on friend's local ponds to catch jugline baits, both live and cut.
