Have not seen any Recent posts/Reports on Sand Bass Fishing.  Are they Biting? If so what is working, location, depth and areas would be appreciated.

I am a senior Kayak fisherman usually launch from Clear Lake or Lavonia.

thanks in advance for any Tips, Richard

They are still at hybrid point and power plant point. 8 to 22 ft on the ledges and flats.

In over three months I've only missed my limit twice in the morning due to an east wind and one strong north wind. Anywhere around Lavonia they'll show up eventually

Carey,

Thank you for the info.  More Importantly for your willingness to share your Knowledge and Tips with us in the Lavon Forum.  Can see why you are a Great Guide.

I attended one of your seminars at Bass Pro Garland and using Tips you shared.

Plan to launch my Hobie tomorrow and look for them.

Richard, (79 years young!!)

Carey where is hybrid point. I've never heard of it.
I too am back into kayak fishing. bought several swimming pool noodles and cut them into 14" lengths.
3oz weights and some shad.
Last week avoided the skunk.
week before caught a 5. 20 and a 31. Extremely fun chasing them down from a kayak. My girlfriend caught the 31.
Upon seeing how big it was she decided not to pull it into the yak with her. Instead she towed it back to shore.
She rowed one way the fish swam the other. Personally I thought the fish was going to win the tug of war

Hybrid point is directly east of the island point
