Sure do like that THUMP!

Going to take my 13yr old neighbor kid out Saturday morning.
I'm a die hard crappie fisherman, but kids come first. lol
So, we are joining the boat show and chasing sandies.

How is the sand bass fishing these days?  I've been gone or busy the last several weeks so haven't done much fishing since mid-July.  About ready to get the boat out again and give it a try.

Sorry, I don't get over to this section much.   icon_mrgreen

Haven't heard much from Carey on the forum lately and I don't do FB, so was just wondering if anyone was catching anything.
I went out for a while last Sunday afternoon and caught a few along the coves south of the power plant.

Actually, I haven't heard either. I'm surprised nobodies posting.
I don't really keep up with it.
I think they are still there, on a normal summer pattern, but not surfacing as much.
Using electronics to locate and then slab with jig.

Glass House, Clear Lake/Island area and hybrid point (near mallard)

Good luck!!

Don't do much sandbass'ing anymore.  We absolutely slayed 'em back in May and June.  Spend all my time going after the big, largemouth bass.  They are there, if you can find them.

However, been out last two weekends, after the rain, and it's been really tough.  The fish have been hard to find, but at least, the weather has been awesome.

Spent a few days earlier this week at East Fork park checking out the new 5th wheel trailer. Sandies were schoolin in the afternoon about 4 pm approx 100 yards from the bank between pavillion and west ramp.
