Started out fishing a five weight yesterday for Bass, did well but then decided to fish a COAF Griffith's Gnat in the Canal for little fishes. After a while, switched to the COAF Micro Fly Rod. Lotta fun catching them on ultralight gear; like that it fits in the fly vest rain gear pocket! Yesterday's Video.

Had fun fishing for little Bluegill and Sunfish with the Wine Cork Micro Fly Rod. Went with a Micro Dry Fly an hooked up with fish. Even had a Bass strike the little fly! Did not catch it but did get some video of the brief fight before it threw the hook. Fun stuff... Today's Video.

Slow go this round but did get a Catfish using the Micro Fly Rod and fishing a San Juan Worm Ball... also, missed another. Today's Video.  Good to know the little rod can handle bigger fish!

Fished Bethany Lakes yesterday with the intent of fishing for Bass. Ended up switching to Soft Hackles and catching little Sunfish and Bluegill. Definitely overpowered them with a five weight fly rod.

Today, after work, decided to use the Micro Fly Rod and a Foam Grasshopper in Size 14 to fish Celebration Park's North Pond. Lost count of how many we caught and released but stayed inline with the Micro Fishing concept of catching lots of little fish!

Fun stuff! Today's Video. Still liking the Micro Fly Rod!

Used the Micro Fly Rod and a Foam Grasshopper in Size 14 to catch little Sunfish and Bluegill... Most were small (micro size) but did get several bigger ones in the mix. Overall had a fun time, sure beats working! Really liking the Micro Fly Rod concept, too! Today's Video

Kicked off the weekend with a round of fishing at Kroger Pond. Had not fished it for some time; good to see the water is clear at least in the Feeder Creek. Did see lots of "green stuff" clobbering the pond area. Regardless, fish were going for a Size 16 Foam Grasshopper.

No Bruisers other than a nice sized Sunfish; no worries though, they all put up a good fight on the Micro Fly Rod!

Cannot recall how many fish were caught and released but over 20 would be a good "guestimate"... next question, where to fish tomorrow? Going to play it by ear for now! Today's Video.

Micro Fly Rod Fishing this evening. Bite was good on little Bass and Bluegill. Foam Grasshopper in Size 16 worked well, but ended up losing the fishing fly to a "Tree Fish"!

Switched to a Tenkara Fly and was able to continue to hook up with the little Bass and Bluegill. Fun stuff!

... caught a number of Bluegill using the Micro Fly Rod and an Elk Hair Caddis. Really liking the concept of an ultralight, collapsible fly rod that casts well and catches fish! Today's Video.

Fished this evening for about an hour. Noticed the water level was much lower compared to two months ago in the local pond. Luckily, the fish were biting. They were little... perfect for the Micro Fly Rod and some Micro Fishing!
Thursday's Video.

Been tinkering with ultralight fly rods and Micro Fishing. Made one Micro Fly Rod using a Pen Fishing Rod and a Crappie Jigging Reel. It worked! Then, decided to tinker around some more... ended up buying another Pen Fishing Rod that came with a Mini-Fly Reel. After a few more mods, came up with Micro Fly Rod II... Fun stuff!

That's cool!

I bought one of the small fly fishing setups here. http://amzn.to/1Z3uu11

I have not had a chance to try it yet because it is so tough to break away from my traditional fishing techniques. I will defiantly have to give it a try.

Thanks!

Are these what you used? http://amzn.to/1sRQcva

I have a dozen on these that I bought at a fly shop on the cheap in a bargain bin.

Thanks!
