I went to a friend's private pond today with my 7', 3-wt rod, a cap spider and briminator. Usually I catch a lot pf bluegill and redears, but today was different because I caught more bass than I did bream. I must have caught two dozen bass up to 3/4# (the lake is badly overstocked with bass), one 13" crappie and about 12 big bluegill and 4 big redears. The bluegill were mostly around 10" and the redear were 11-12". I don't know why the bream bite was off today, but the bass almost made up for it.
