I took my fly rod and float tube to Eisenhower Park today and fished the shoreline and the cliffs to the right and left of the yacht club for about 4 hours and caught one 17" smallmouth, that was it. I got there about 6:30 and watched the boat convention move from the dam to almost a mile to the west. I saw a few stripers caught, but not many. There must have been 75 boats out there.

Then I decided to take my tube to the other side of the dam and launched from the Oklahoma side. I fished for about an hour there and caught two carp that weighed 5 - 6# each, both foul-hooked on a woolly bugger. They are truly a poor man's redfish the way they fight!
