I'm thinking about getting a bow for shooting gar.
Considering how hard the skin of a gar is I was wondering what pound pull bow to get.
as well as what kind of arrow to use.
What knot is used to attach line to arrow?
Thnx for replies

any feedback on bow hunting for fish appreciated. thnx

I would not reccomend a compound bow over 50lbs, mine is right at 40.

I used a cheap pawn shop compound bow, with 60ft of 80lb line. I cant remember the kind of knot, but it said it on the back package of the bowfishing arrow I bought

Good luck, bowfishing is fun  icon_cool

I use a recurve but the Mathews genesis pro is great.  Always. Use a safety slide i tie a bowline knot or use a loop knot
