I want to take my 5 year old and 7 year old out to have some fun catching perch.  Any suggestions on where to go?  Will be fishing from the boat, just throwing a hook with a worm over the side.  Appreciate any suggestions

East Fork marina, riprap and grass in 3ft range would be good places to start.

Thanks Randy.  BTW, what would it be to take the family - me, wife, 2 kiddos - and show us the ropes on crappie fishing on Lavon?  And when would be a good time of year to do that?

I have been taking the kids to the local golf course pounds.  They have been catching a ton in 1ā€™-2ā€™ in front of heavy vegetation.  We use worms on single egg trout hooks and have not lost too many.  Iā€™m sure all this will change come Monday when it hits 100 degrees.  Good luck!
