Gar ID please  (Read 1839 times)

Caught this gar out at east fork yesterday.  Is this a spotted gar?  Measured him but didn't weigh him.  26 inches.  Not much of a gar person.  Fish easily was 3 plus pounds,  put the fish back after taking the picture.   Never seen a spotted car before and thought this might be one.  if it is, I think I released the lake record fish... hoping it's not a spotted gar.
it had a lot of spots on it's head and some on the body.

let me know what you all think.

I can see spots on the head. I bet spotted is what it is.
