i have heard folks have decent luck around the EF marina... but i have not fished for them on Lavon... I have hit some of the community lakes around the area and picked some up...

With bobbers and worms on the banks behind East Fork marina you should pick some up, they are all over around there. I'm sure there are other good places, I just don't know them as that's the only place I've fished for them. You could probably also find them around Collin Park.  Good luck, if you can get into them the kids will have a ball!  BTW, welcome to the forum.  icon_biggrin

Do ya'll know any good neighborhood ponds - especially plano/frisco?  I'm in the same boat, I got a 4 year old that isnt coordinated enough for a bunch of casting or feeling around for the crappie bite, nor is he patient enough for fish findin...we need to throw in a bobber and worm and him catch some little fish...

celebration park in allen.  the pond next to the pavilion.  there is some where between a billion and a gazillion of them in there.  They are all small but it is fast and furious.  Get some small hooks.

Look at Caddo Park on 380, there's a set of ponds, concrete walkways with rails, park benches, charcoal grills, restrooms.
