Do you guys think it would be safe to fish the I35 bridge that goes over Lake Lewisville in a 14ft flat bottom Jon Boat? It does have a trolling motor and 2HP Gas Motor attached.

i go out there in my one man pontoon boat with flippers on and row with oars.

If the wind is above 10 mph , I would say no. And Heck no, in the winter or anytime with out a pfd.

flippers are needed to move you around or keep you in place. the wind wont affect me at all unless its blowing 20 miles an hour.... i use the oars to get there and the flippers to move around.

Yes sweet setup indeed! So what do you do about storing your rod or rods while your en route and using the oars?

i stick the reels in the pockets and zip it up a bit. rod holders get in the way and end up hitting the trees when im in the creeks. i usually only take 2 rods.
