I am working on a prototype for a 10 ft. 2-piece rod for bankfishing. This will be a spinning rod.

I think I hear clickers in my sleep!!
Sounds good Doug. How's about one for the baitcaster users.... is that the next one? I will pre-order three of those bad boys if'n you make a baitcaster version

I am afraid you would have to buy a larger reel......bet with a 10 ft rod I could empty the reels I have. Something to think about though.

Hey, that would work great for me then, I can't cast as far as you guys.
I could go for the baitcaster version

That would be okay as long as the bait gets waaaaaay out there.

How many eyelets will it have on it. I wouldn't mind replace my existing two spinning rods with better rods.

I was talking to Pro Angler the other day. He said the rods have 1 eye for every foot +1. so a 7' would have 8 eyes
My 7.5' M/H baitcast rod has 12 eyes.

The throwing distance debate. Have seen guys throw daiwa calcuttas 200yrds from the bank before . They definitely can get out there if set up right. The retrieval ratio on Spinning gear outweighs casting distance on baitcasters for me. Can normally get out as far as I want with a spinning reel & nobody is going to throw a Gizzard head out 200yds
They just don't seem to fly right
