Well it was a night of firsts. First time on Cooper and first time to target yellas with rod and reel.
Had the best night fishing trip I can remember in a long time

It was a BLAST!!!!
Weather was absolutely perfect.....comfy temps, nice breeze and no bugs.
The bite was steady almost all night, so no boredom for us. That's a major plus when night fishing

Wish we had been able to get bigger bluegill and been able to keep em alive longer, or better yet some bullheads.
But considering we have never done this before, I'm ecstatic that we accomplished our goal!!!!!
It may not have been a giant, but it was the target species and we both learned something that will benefit us later.
The blues we caught fought like they were twice the size they actually were. Who knew Cooper blues were on steroids?
Talk about some fiesty fish

Cooper is a catmans dream come true. On the way to and from our postup spot,
I saw literally at least a dozen places I'd like to postup and fish. That lake is awesome!!!!! Terrible to navigate, but super fishy!!!!
Drawout, you are spoiled to have that as your home lake

I can't wait to go out and target yellas with rod and reel again!!!! It is just too much fun!!! And catching some of them roid raging blues while trying
is just a major bonus

And next time the boats gonna look like a porcupine, it's gonna have so many rods out
