Big fish Cook & Franchowiak 23.50lbs

I would like to thank all of the anglers who came out fish today. Special thanks to our sponsors Pro Angler Tackle, Moore Deep Nets, and Weights By Chase. I would also like to thanks my parents Betty Allison and Harold Allison for helping with today’s tournament.

Our next tournament will be the Classic on Richland Chamber May 15th and 16th.

Ken and D . Thanks again for putting up with us, and giving us a trail to fish!

Joe and Berg. congrats again the big money win!

We caught 17 fish and missed several others , but we had no fish over 14 lbs ...... well , no catfish  icon_eek

We had a good time before , during and after the tourney. It was not a big field , but the guys that showed up had a good time competing and felowshiping..

Maybe I need to change my screen name to "Lucky Charm" icon_lol icon_lol

Folks, ya'll should really give this tourney fishing a try, ya won't be sorry you did icon_exclaim icon_exclaim
It is absolutely some of the funnest fishing you'll ever do!!!!
Meeting and fellowshipping with the other anglers is as much or more fun than just the fishing alone!!!!
These tourney folks are the friendliest people you'll ever meet and informative too.
You can learn more about fishing than you can imagine, just talking with them.

I hadn't fished at Grapevine since 1979 and Joe had only been there once before and we won.
Just goes to show that anybody can win one of these.  icon_cool

I think I just woke up  icon_eek

I was too tired to really thank Ken for the tourney...  I had a great time and got to meet a few new folks and one VERY nice police officer on the way there too  icon_lol

I took the LUCKY CHARM with me and I am glad I did.....

There was more shallow water on that lake than I thought....

I will say that the 2 boats that caught the larger fish early on were fishing within the same area.  We lucked out and had some large schools of shad come crashing through and maybe getting ready to spawn in the grass.  It seemed as though the fish followeds them in and bit for a while and then turned off.

We caught better fish than I expected and it turned out good.

Thanks to all that came out.  It was a good time and I think these will get bigger and better.....

Nice showing Joe and BigBerg.

This was a fun tournament even if we couldn't find any big ones and Chase and I were total Zombies by the end of the day.

Good to meet up with anglers I hadn't seen in a while and also good to meet a few newbies.

Thanks to Ken and his family for making these tournaments run smoothly.

Congrats to the winners. I hate that lake. I did catch two Goo on shad filets with one being pretty cool looking, they fought pretty good too. Thought I had some decent cats on.

That is a very different looking fish for sure! Did you keep them for bait?  icon_lol  A 'goo was the only thing that kept me from being skunked last Saturday, and I thought I had a good cat too. Sad   It's bait now.  icon_lol  Got the 'rocks' from it's head, my first, pretty cool!
