NRA (or other 2A rights group) membership drive  (Read 5083 times)

There is a lot of discussion on some of the boards I follow about the new adminstration and what they could have in store for gun owners across the US.

I haven't ever been a member of any gun rights groups before, but the concerns have made me join a group.  A lot of people have issues with the NRA, but its the biggest and has the most clout.  I think everyone should think about joining some group.  You can join the NRA for as little as $10/year if you don't get the magazine.... not too shabby.

If you don't own firearms on their "bad list" you should still be concerned.  There are rumors about some thought about serializing ammo which effect hobbyinst, hunters etc because it will drive the costs up... have you priced ammo lately?  Just the scare of it has made it hard to buy ammo at a lot of places.

Anyway, I don't want this too get too political because there are forums that specialize in that.. but here are some lists of state and national groups.

National Rifle Association:  http://www.nra.com/
Texas State Rifle Association: http://www.tsra.com

If you join or are already a member, post to let others know.

Remember, it just takes $10.

yeah i heard about that ammo serialization thing recently too. whats that all about?
you may have to turn in your un-serialized ammo and then buy all new ammo that
they can track. that's a bunch of B.S. in my book. I was former NRA member and had
the magazine script too, but let it expired. guess I need to register again soon.

To find more about the anti-gun group that is sponsoring this legislation and
the specific legislation for each state, go to:

NRA member here also..I read about that codeing of ammo a while back , and thats just crazy.I was talking with the guy at Dallas handgun academy a couple of weeks ago and he didnt seem too worried about that happening in Texas, but I do.They do give you a little bit of time to shoot it all up , but like shawn said the price of ammo is crazy to replace what you had to get rid.

Catch and Release fishing is a lot like golf.  You don't have to eat the ball to have a good time.
