I dont even own one yet but I am thinking about modifying a RoadRunner(horse head) jig once I get it.  What I am thinking of is using a drill to make large eye structure on it, but within relation to its own size as well.  Something like the picture in the link below of the Northland Mud Bug.   If not that, then a regular ball style Jig head.  Anyone have any other idea's?

I think that a drill would work, just take out a little at a time, till you get what you like.

That was what I was planning to try.  And try not to make it much past the tip or it risks looking like a tube shape and not a dome shape like the eyes should be.  In a way its kinda frog like.  If it did work, and looked good, I would have one of the only specialized roadrunners out there Smiley  The only thing I wish I could find is a mold for this.

I have a few but I swear the ones I got were from Storm.  Those things work GREAT!!!  Its basically the Ultra Minnow with a crane swivel placed in the bottom of the head at an angle.

Thanks RickH, I am going to look for that one. I love Storm baits! Bass and crappie love Storm baits too, I have caught many many LMB and crappie, and even a few SMB on Storm shad and minnows! They are great. I hope you can manage what you're trying for!  icon_biggrin
