Ya, First time I have ever had my beard freeze with ice....and my clothes... and it took over 10 min before I could feel my hands....  Note to self... Better gloves!

Same kinds of problems for us today, Joe.  There were 2 moments I didn't know if we were going to make it back.  icon_eek  Today was a little colder than what I'd go out in again.  Fool me once... just don't try to fool me twice.

I am thinking with the Proangler stuff being another way for those guys to make money in these times, it will probably be hard to get anyone to say that they are or aren't the ones they OEM for their reels.  Which is honestly understandable.  I would say to try it out, see how it works out.  If anything you can always try it and let all of us know how it worked out, etc, so we all have an idea for the future.

Oh snap.  Ok, so I am a littlefar from ya since I live in princeton.  Quick lesson for any of these small motors.  Basically its gonna be fuel or fire....  The one sure fire way I know of to verify if it is fuel and it works....  Now I would NEVER use carb cleaner to try starting a 2 cycle.....but....  In this case I would use a little for a quick test.  I expect this is an old 2 cycle engine.  Here is how I always tested.  Pull the spark plug off the motor, spray walmart carb cleaner directly into the cylinder. Screw the spark plug on as quick as you can hand tight and put the wire back on it.  Pull quick..  It will fire up pretty dang quickly.  From experience will older carb trucks the starter fluid is ok... but the carb cleaner is just WAY freakin flammable and it will fire on a weak spark and anything it can get.  In this cold it will be especially helpful.  If it doesn't fire up on that by putting it directly into the cylinder then there is really something wrong with the spark or possibly timing.  If it does fire up(and die pretty quick), then the carb just isn't giving it enough fuel or any and I would suspect something like the float isn't set correctly so it shuts out the fuel to the motor before it gets much or any.  I would try that and let me know how it goes.

Bruce had the one I was thinking.  The 6600BCX for just under $40.  Just thinking in the long run and for parts it would be a better value.

Brent.....That was priceless!

I think most guys are right.  One thing I might add. Depending on the size of the fish.  One thing I think might also be a lazy meal they are looking for is worms.  Im sure there are some in some of the places and I have caught some while drifting on them in descent number.  I think unlike shad, they know if a worm is near it aint swimming off so its an easy meal.  If there are around bottom looking for that kinda easy meal, they also might dig in after it too.  Just my thought in this cold weather is that if they smell something they chase after, or something that aint going away too fast, they'll take the lazy meal on in the cold weather to save energy.
