I must say.... Well said DavidP, very well said.

Our country had its credit downgraded because they couldn't come to an agreement.  I believe they have a 79% disapproval rating too.  We need politicians that know what "We The People" are asking for.

Umm, for any surprised let me point this out.

"The U.S. Supreme Court should uphold a law requiring most Americans to have health insurance if the justices follow legal precedent, according to 19 of 21 constitutional law professors who ventured an opinion on the most-anticipated ruling in years. "

As from an article a week ago.  Like Romney said.  They said that it was legal, not that it was right.
4  General Area / General Discussion / Re: caught a gar with my prop on: June 27, 2012, 09:38:37 PM
If I might throw out a guess.  Based on this cut I am betting he was just swimming along when BAM, you caught him in the middle.  With it in the middle he might have folded in half around the lower unit, slipping down until he hit the prop area where it bulges.  With your speed and the water pushing him, he couldn't slip over that. Also why it sounded like it did and slowed you so much, it would have affected the water flow to the prop.  The rest of the sound was him screaming "I'm not even supposed to be here today!".  Oh, and at the point you stopped he probably tried to swim off but went in behind the prop and got caught up until you raised it.   Just an idea.

6  Tackle and Equipment / Buy/Sell/Trade / Taurus PT 24/7 PRO C DS .40S&W on: January 27, 2012, 10:36:36 AM
I've been thinking about selling one of my handguns to gain a little more $$$ for buying a boat with.  Its a few months old and has never been Fired.  I bought it at Academy, normal retail price so I paid nearly $500 for it.  Will entertain an offer below what I paid but will not get down really low, because again, its never even been fired before.  It does have the picatinny rail under the barrel.  I have the two magazines with it that it comes with.  Both filled with hollow points.  Gun has some dust on it as its the one I usually keep near the bed(will wipe it off for better photos later).  Picture shows the two different mags it comes with.  Let me know by PM or email rick.hobson@gmail.com.
7  General Area / General Discussion / Re: Most Memorable Lavon Moment on: October 10, 2011, 11:06:22 PM
Well I have been away for too long but I can tell you mine easily.  Like so many my most memorable was my PB.  Thanks to musky_D too.  It was catching a 41lb Blue.  Got pictures, video, and a great memory thanks to him! Will never forget that day!  Second most memorable was going out with him on a day that the return trip literally froze icicles in my beard. Good Times....
8  General Area / General Discussion / Need a mechanic on: November 07, 2010, 11:24:57 PM
Need advise on a mechanic that doesnt charge an arm and a leg.  My jeep with a 3.7 had a rocker slip off, think it might have a bent valve.  If thats the case I can get another head for $300 but need to find someone that can diagnose and do the work.
